So what's with the name?

The anime party got it's name when it's founders nearly went nuts around 2 am on election day (actually since it was 2 am, it was technically the day after election day), to relieve some stress we decided to go out and play…..I mean…..return some books to the library. On our way back from playing… um…the library some of the founders found a likely spot where we could entertain ourselves without waking anyone and proceeded to mock some political people. Anyway, but at the time we were too cold to stay outside, we had decided that we were going to start our own party and call it the Anime Party (because we all love anime, and it was really the reason why well all know each other.) Within the next few days a certain founder got off her rear and got paper work, wrote and typed our constitution, and made this website. Then all the founders got together and voted on everything from officers, website structure, club structure, and our constitution. And thus the Anime Party came to be.

While the Anime Party is not exclusively an anime club, anime does tend to be the main focus of our meetings and website.
